Janoska Ensemble
The Four Seasons Janoska-styleDescription
With its own “Janoska style”, the award-winning ensemble opens up fascinating new perspectives on timeless melodies. The brothers Ondrej, František and Roman Janoska have been making music together since they were children. Together with Julius Darvas, they founded the Janoska Ensemble in 2013. Using violins, piano and double bass their albums have so far covered The Beatles, Brahms, Beethoven and Bartók. This has made them chamber music stars and even inspired euphoric praise from cult composer Hans Zimmer. To mark the 300th birthday of Vivaldi’s expressive masterpiece they will now take on The Four Seasons. In their version, they allow the auditorium to become an active part of the compositions: “The mood of the audience has a direct effect on how much we enjoy playing: that’s when the energy in the concert hall starts to circulate!” says Darvas. Monumental works, perfect instrumental playing and unshackled improvisation – that’s the “Janoska style.”
